Week 10 Reflection

What: On Monday the year 6 went to WIS we had to go in groups. I was in group 2 first we did robotics. We made a spinning top robot. We got a stop watch and timed how long they can spin for. I was in Anaru's group our robot span for 59 seconds. We had a challenge. Me and Anaru came second in the challenge. Then we went into cooking we made apple tarts. First you have to get flour then you get dough then you get an apple. You get given a apple core thing that goes into the apple and takes out the core and pips. You put the dough into this tin then you put it into a stove and wait 10 minutes. When it cooks put icing sugar on the tart.

On Tuesday some of Room 15 went to Palmerston North. We went to a show at the regent called Magnolia Street it was about an old lady, teenager and a man. The show was awesome and funny. The teenagers name is Jake. I like the show because they put a lot of effort in it. After that we went to the park and had lunch and morning tea. We were playing on the play ground then we went to the Lido. It was so fun I have been there heaps but its better with more people in it. I mostly went on the hydro slide. Our Habit of mind is gathering data through all senses.

So What: I learnt that if you put a lot of effort in something you can do it well. I also learnt how to make apple tarts and robot toys.

Now What: My goal is to make tarts at home for my mum, brothers and my sister. My goal is to put more effort in to things like work.
