Senior School Athletics

On Tuesday the Senior School had athletics. We had shot put, sprints, long distance, vortex, long jump and high jump. I won in vortex and I came second in high jump. I felt very happy!!! 

Assembly Item

Our item on Friday was so wicked because it was the first time we got the whole play right. Our item was called 2 pigs a wolf and a mud pie. We had to practice it heaps, like 5 times. I was Hansel and Joshua was Gretel. Keylen was Tic, Jake was Tac and Kahu was Toe. They were the pigs.  I was in scene 2, the enchanted forest, Caleb was Cinderella and Casey was Snow White. Tarron was the wolf.  There were 7 dwarfs and the people at the ball. Brandin was the witch.  It was hard to get the timing right.

Lots of people were laughing. We had to say our words really loud so the people could hear us at the back of the hall.  I was nervous at the start of the play but when I said it, I was not that nervous. In the play the witch took us into her ginger bread house so she could eat me and Gretel.

Athletics Practice

This week Room 15 had athletics practice. We went into the shed and got the things out we needed for high jump. Then we set up the things for high jump. After that we went into 2 groups. I was in group 1. I went to long jump first. I got the furtherest. After that my group went to high jump. It was so fun doing high jump. I didn't hit the bar. After that we went back to class. 

Contract

What does a CO2 car and a dog have in common.

1. Co2 cars and a dog are really fast.

2. Dogs and Co2 cars are loud when they are running.

3. Their colour because dogs and Co2 cars can have the same colours.

4. Power because they both use the most power that they have in them.

5. Hard because dogs are made of bones and meat and Co2 cars are made of wood.

We have been making a logo for our contract this is what I have came up with.

Handwriting

This week we have been doing handwriting. We focused on the letters FE. We wrote in our best handwriting. We were linking. We get timed, if you finish before 15 minutes you got to read if you don't you have to go to work fishing. I like handwriting because you can learn more and be better at it.

Week 3 Reflection

WHAT This week most of Room 15 went swimming. We mostly go 2.30pm. When we went swimming we went into the changing Rooms and got dressed. after that I was playing a game with my friends then I got out of the pool and went on the huffy sliders. I went around the swimming pool really fast on them then we went back to class. This week we played badminton our badminton teacher is Mr Feist. We had a warm up and played a game then we got on the floor and Mr Feist was talking to us about back hand stroke. After that we got up and played a game of badminton, it was so fun! Our habit of mind is taking responsible risks we did this habit by finding a character that takes risks and sharing it on our blog. 

So What: I learnt how to use a back hand stroke and I learnt how to swim better.

Now What: My goal is to take responsible risks and to finish my work faster. I achieved last weeks goal because I learnt lots more about badminton.  

Reading Activity

For our reading activity we are learning to create an image in our mind from the text called tiger paste. We drew a picture of a tiger because he was acting like he was going to eat the ostrich in the text then he was acting scared so he jumped of the couch and ran of because of the TV. Here is my one.

 For our habit of mind we have been learning about taking responsible risks. I think Kai takes irresponsible risks because Kai could be killed or hurt really badly when he fights the monsters. The risks that he takes are fighting big monsters and going around looking for monsters and he holds weapons. I chose this character because it has lots of risks.
